2001 - We make the local newspaper!

This year found the State of California facing an energy crisis.  Our local newspaper found out about our lights and wanted to come out and ask us a few questions . . . the obvious one being why we were using all this energy to light our home. We told them that the lights didn't really use all that much energy and we felt it was much more important to celebrate the Christmas Holiday by being festive and giving the neighbors something to be joyful for as well.
