The Dream Begins . . .

You’re Kidding . . . Six Weeks in Hawaii?! That is pretty much the most repeated comment we heard when we told people what we were going to do for our vacation this year . . .So what exactly is Dave & Dot's 30th Anniverary* Tour?  While on our 25th Anniverary tour I asked my wife what she would like to do for our 30th Anniversary and she said I must be joking to think about that before we were even finished with the current trip. So then I said, how about six weeks in Hawaii? 

             

Fast forward five years . . . and here we are ready to undertake what many people might consider a total fantasy. Our itinerary calls for our 1st week on the Island of Hawaii, our 2nd on Maui, our 3rd on Molokai, our 4th on Kauai, our 5th on Oahu, and our 6th and final week on a cruise around the islands. AND we are sharing our adventure by inviting friends and family to join us!   

     

Oh yeah, about the Anniverary* issue (the spelling. . .); for our 5-week trip I had made t-shirts for everyone with a group photo and the title Dave & Dot's 25th Anniverary Tour not knowing I had left the “s” out of the word Anniversary.  It got noticed by someone in the group the

afternoon of our first day in Orlando and they proceeded to tell the tour guide at Disney's MGM Theme Park who promptly announced it to the entire tram! Needless to say, the spelling error stuck.  Hence, the reason we are calling this our Anniverary Tour.
